Welcome to Chesterfieldtwp.org, the official Web-Site of the Charter Township of Chesterfield. Chesterfield Township is located in Macomb County, Michigan and encompasses an area of approximately 26 square miles except for the portion bordering Anchor Bay on Lake St. Clair. Our population at the 2000 census was 37,004. Our Township was established in 1842 and became a Charter Township in 1989 by Resolution. The 3 school districts located within Chesterfield Township are Anchor Bay, L'Anse Creuse and New Haven. Within our Web-Site you will find directories of information about the Charter Township of Chesterfield municipal government.
